The first half of the course aims to cover first year content helping to refresh students memories on topics they will not have covered since the last academic year. The second half aims to tackle some of the tougher second year content and focus on applying students subject knowledge in the exam using the correct technique.
A 3 day intensive revision course which aims to provide second year A Level Sociology students with the knowledge, exam technique and confidence to fully achieve their potential in the summer exam.
Students in the first year of their A level who are due to sit the AS exam are welcome to attend the course but will only be able to access the content covered on day 1 and 2 of the course.
Emily has been teaching A Level Sociology for 10 years and is currently the head of Sociology at a large sixth form college in Surrey. She has marked A Level Sociology exam papers for many years providing a valuable insight which she regularly draws upon in her teaching. Emily has also played a key role in developing new teaching resources and textbooks for A Level awarding bodies which are now being used by other Sociology departments across the country.
The revision courses will be held at St Mary’s University Twickenham London.

Travel direct to Strawberry Hill station from Waterloo station using the Kingston loopline. The journey takes about 35 minutes and there are usually four trains an hour. You can use an Oyster card for this journey.
St Mary’s is a five minute walk from Strawberry Hill station. Turn left when you leave the station, then walk past Premier Wine and the Post Office on your left and take the second road on your right, which is Waldegrave Gardens. At the end of Waldegrave Gardens, turn right onto Waldegrave Road and St Mary’s main reception is on your left.
St Mary’s is located on Waldegrave Road (A309). If you are using a sat nav, the postcode for the Strawberry Hill campus is TW1 4SX.
You can catch the R68 towards Hampton Court from a bus stop just outside Richmond station. Get off at the Twickenham, King Street stop and then take the 33 towards Fulwell. Get off at the ‘St Mary’s University’ stop, which is just outside of St Mary’s main reception. You can also take the 33 from Richmond, although the bus stop is a 5 minute walk from Richmond station on Sheen Road.
