Our ethos at A Level Revision UK is to provide high quality, effective and stimulating revision courses across a range of subjects.
As A Levels move into a linear world, with assessment taking place at the end of two years of study, we firmly believe that our courses are perfectly placed to equip students with the subject knowledge and exam technique to enter their exams with confidence. Above all, A Level Revision UK are committed to the highest educational standards and our courses reflect this in design and execution.
The company started under the guise of PE Perform Ltd providing highly successful revision courses in PE during the Easter holidays. Due to the success of the students and the incredible feedback received, we expanded to other subjects and with continued success here we are now as A Level Revision UK.
Russell has fourteen years experience of teaching at A Level and for the last nine years exclusively as Head of PE and Sport at an ‘outstanding’ large Sixth Form College of high repute. His MA in Education researched congruencies between student, teacher and OFSTED perceptions of an outstanding A Level PE lesson. He firmly believes in encouraging tutors to bring their own subject to life by using kinaesthetic teaching methods as well as encouraging students to become independent learners. One of the first things Russell asks of A Level Revision UK tutors is to be aspirational with students in challenging them to use higher order thinking skills as well as implementing strategies for students to use exam technique effectively.
Abigail has been teaching for ten years and has taught in a range of sixth forms and colleges on both the OCR and AQA exam boards. She has previously been an examiner for Edexcel and has a plethora of experience in individual tuition. Abigail's experience as both a teacher and examiner has enabled her to really understand the complexities of delivering highly stimulating content alongside essential exam technique. In both her teaching and tuition Abigail takes a very structured approach in preparing students for the summer examination and specialises in stretching and challenging the most able students. After being disappointed in what she observed her students were receiving from external revision companies she set about creating a series of revision courses along with Russell which were both high quality and reasonably priced.
Rachel has worked as a Principal Speech and Language Therapist for the last eight years at a large teaching hospital in south London where she recently coordinated the global laryngectomy conference 2016. In her role with A Level Revision UK, Rachel's highly organised, pragmatic and professional approach ensures that our courses are run in a highly efficient manner so that students and A Level Revision UK tutors can fully focus on maximising learning over the duration of the specific course. Her experiences as a Speech and Language Therapist also enable her to understand the challenges which students with specific special educational needs face.
“ My son was predicted D's in psychology and sociology, and has just achieved results of C and B respectively. I think a lot of this was down to your excellent courses at Easter which gave him both the impetuous and direction to revise effectively and to tackle questions in a way that gave him better marks. ”

“ 'Very good. The teachers were friendly and assertive but at the same time they made learning interactive and enjoyable. The classroom layout was good as we often worked in small groups which I found useful ”
