Classes take place every Wednesday at 6pm

The Autumn term for new Year 13 students starts on Wednesday 6th November.

The weekly sessions will focus upon revising key topics within the specification alongside developing essential exam technique.

Each class will take place at the same time every week using the video platform Zoom. Students are able to fully interact with the teacher, ask questions in real time, virtually raise their hand as well as accessing a bank of high quality resources.

Tutor Spotlight

Kate McDonnell

Kate is Head of PE in an ‘outstanding’ department with consistently high results. Kate also manages the Science and Sport faculty within the large Beacon sixth form college.

In PE Kate specialises in Paper 1 and Paper 3. Kate loves teaching the Anatomy and Physiology in Paper 1 as she is constantly fascinated by the body and how it works.

Her favourite area of the specification however, is Paper 3.  As she enjoys exploring the development of sport from Pre-Industrial Britain to today and challenging her students to think about the implications of changes in society and how they shape the way we consume, watch and play sport.
